This season ticket is for city centre residents living in eligible streets to park in designated pay and display bays, Gloucester Square or College Street car parks at any time.
Also, your vehicle must not:
- Exceed five metres in length
- Weigh more than 3.5 tonnes
- Be adapted to carry more than eight passengers, excluding the driver (not drawing a trailer)
How many season tickets can I apply for?
A maximum of one permit is available per postal address. However, the number of permits will be restricted in this zone to protect the economic viability of the city centre.
In which car parks or streets can I use this season ticket?
You can park in any pay and display bay in the following streets or in the selected car parks listed below:

*Gloucester Square car park will be closed for approximately 30 days during the Boat Show period (usually September). Alternative parking is available in College Street Car Park. You cannot use the permit to park in the reserved bays in Gloucester Square Car Park, or any other marked designated bays such as car club or disabled bays (unless you have a valid disabled person’s badge and it is displayed correctly).
There may be a height restriction in some car parks. If your vehicle exceeds the height restriction, you will need to park in a surface or multi-storey car park.

How much do season tickets cost?
Tickets valid for:
- Six months cost £475
- 12 months cost £900
A 50% discount is available for council or housing association tenants. Proof of tenancy will need to be supplied with your application.
All permits will be dated from the first day of the month in which they are issued.
What happens after I apply?
Please allow five working days for the season ticket to be posted to you. If you need it sooner than this, you can still complete application online. Once you have submitted and paid for your application, you will to need visit Gateway on the same day to collect your ticket. Please have your application reference number or receipt to hand when you visit.
If you are not able to collect on the same day but do not wish us to post the season ticket, please call the Parking team to let us know. We will hold onto the season ticket until you are ready to collect it.
Lost or damaged tickets
An administration charge will be made to replace a lost or damaged season ticket.
Refunds
Refunds will no longer be offered on season tickets issued after 1 April 2019.
Warning
Misuse of a season ticket is fraud. We will investigate all reports of the misuse of permits.
Section 115 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act, 1984
This provides penalties for any person who makes a false statement to obtain a season ticket or with intent to deceive, forges, or alters, or uses, or lends to, or allows to be used, or has in their possession any document so closely resembling any such season ticket as to be calculated to deceive.
