Parking enforcement fair processing notice
The Local Authority (LA) uses information collected from body worn cameras (audio and video)worn to enable it to deter and prevent crime as well as to deter abuse (racial or otherwise) and threats towards Enforcement Officers when carrying out their duties, such as enforcement of parking regulations and restrictions.
It uses the information to support any evidence gathered in dealing with allegations made against officers as well as to support evidence presented against individuals/groups that have committed a crime or abuse/threats made against enforcement officers.
The LA will share this information with third parties such as law enforcement agencies such as the Police. All information shared will be in accordance with the appropriate LA data sharing policy.
It will also use the information to derive statistics to inform decisions on the usage of the recording devices.
