Season tickets - important information and terms of use
How to use your season ticket
The Season Ticket must be displayed behind the front windscreen so it can be clearly and entirely seen from the front of the vehicle.
It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that the vehicle is parked wholly within a marked parking bay.
The Season Ticket is only valid when used in the nominated vehicle, details of which will be printed on the Season Ticket.
The issue of a Season Ticket does not guarantee the holder a parking space.
Failure to comply with the terms of use for a Season Ticket may attract the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice.
Season Tickets are only valid within the zone/ car park listed.
Always check the signs for information about parking restrictions.
You cannot use a season ticket to park:
- On yellow lines
- In bays designated for specific classes of vehicles such as car club and disabled bays
- In the reserved bays in Gloucester Square Car Park
If you are a valid blue badge holder and your badge is displayed correctly, you can park in the limited waiting bays or the pay and display bays for as long as you wish.
Night time closures of multi-storey car parks
The council reserves the right to introduce night time closures of multi-storey car parks between 00:00 midnight and 5am for the purposes of maintaining on-site security. Vehicles parked during the closure period cannot be removed.
Where night time closures are proposed for a specific multi-storey car park, season ticket holders for that car park would be notified in advance. The season ticket can then be transferred to an alternative multi-storey car park or for general off-street use in the car parks listed in the guidance leaflet.
Southampton Boat Show
Gloucester Square car park will be closed for approximately 30 days during the Southampton Boat Show. Alternative parking is available in College Street Car Park.
