How to access young carer support
- Speak to your school's young carers champion and ask them to complete a young carers assessment with you. If you are unsure who to contact at your school, please email us on the address below and we can advise you
- Complete a self-identification form online

What is the young carers ID (YCID) card?
The YCID is a card that can help you communicate to professionals that you are a young carer and that someone relies on your help. You can use this card with teachers, doctors and pharmacists.
The young carers card can support you to access a range of benefits, including free swimming and discounted activities.
