Personal travel budgets
What is a Personal Travel Budget?
A Personal Travel Budget (PTB) is a sum of money paid to parents or carers of children or young persons with Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND) who are eligible for free school travel for the purpose of travel to and from their school/education setting. If the council considers that a PTB is a more cost-effective/appropriate option for school travel, it gives parent/carers the freedom to make their own decisions and arrangements about how their child/young person will get to/from school/education setting each day.
