Services for schools: IT Services
ICT Strategy is a small, hands on, dedicated MIS support team within Southampton City Council offering support across all phases of schools and settings. We have a wealth of experience working with maintained and independent schools, academies, federations and MATS for over 25 years.
Our team is made up of SIMS and Arbor specialists covering all modules to help you have confidence in your MIS.
Our supported schools have access to immediate telephone helpdesk support, with remote sessions at the point of needing help.
We have built strong relationships with the MIS providers that we support, providing opportunities for feedback and development.
I cannot fault the support that my 4 schools receive from The Southampton ICT strategy team. Having worked in Hampshire for 22 years, 12 of which as an Executive Head, I believe the service provided by the Strategy Team to be first class. The speed of response, the proactive ethos of the team and the outstanding customer care make our use of our MIS and its many applications as smooth and hassle free as possible. My admin team and senior leaders are on a first name basis with the majority of the team as they always welcome your call and assist with whatever issue, question or training request that you may have. Moving my MIS support to the ICT Strategy Team is one of the most effective leaderships decisions I have made in recent years. Mr Glen Golding, Executive Headteacher, The Bishopswood Schools Federation & Bramley C of E Primary School & Whitewater C of E Primary School
We have moved to SIMS assessment and have found the support before and during implementation to be high quality, clear and friendly. This has meant teachers and leaders understand how the system operates and have been able to ask questions in our online training sessions. Helen has always been very patient and happy to help and support in any way she can, and always responds to email queries rapidly. Andy Peterson, Headteacher, Bitterne CE Primary School
We as a school have found our support from the ICT team at SCC to be invaluable. They go above and beyond to help us and will not rest until the issue has been sorted. We also find it very reassuring that even though we are an academy we are treated no differently to any LA run school. This is one SLA that we never have to think twice about renewing. Naomi Pakes-Geddes, Business & Finance Manager, Hope Community School
