SEND Mainstream Funding Cluster Model - Parent and carer consent information

The information below is an outline of the parent and carer consent information for the SEND Mainstream Funding Cluster model.

This information is to be read by parents and carers who are signing consent as part of a school request into the SEND Mainstream Funding Cluster Model.

Schools can make requests for individual children into the SEND Mainstream Funding Cluster Model for:

  • Solution focused discussion - An opportunity to discuss ideas and solutions with peers and professionals
  • Request for Individual Cluster funding - Short term funding to provide support for an individual child for either one academic year or to the end of a key stage
  • Request for Group Cluster funding - Short term funding to provide support for an identified group of children for either one academic year or to the end of a key stage

In order for the school to make this request, the school will need to share information about your child with local authority professionals and representatives from other schools within your school’s cluster.

To agree to consent for this request, please complete the parent and carer consent section of the "SEND Mainstream Funding Cluster Model - School Age Profile of Need" document that the school will be completing as part of the referral process.
