Re:Minds CIC is a parent-led organisation supporting families whose children have Autism/ADHD, other neurodiverse issues and/or mental health needs. This group is the primary link between Southampton Specialist CAMHS, The Autism Assessment Service and families. They offer advice clinics with CAMHS clinicians on autism, ADHD and mental health issues. They have face to face support groups, professional speakers and link with Adult Mental Health and Crisis Care Services for advice clinics and other information. They also offer a one-to-one advocacy service.

Southampton Parent Carer Forum

Southampton Parent Carer Forum are a friendly group of parent carers who have children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 years. They support and train parent carers to enable them to have input and be involved with shaping services alongside the professionals who provide health, education, adult and social services. You can contact the forum directly for advice and guidance and if you want to be involved with having your voice heard and shaping services in the city.

Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (also known as CAMHS)

The role of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) West is to provide a comprehensive specialist mental health service to children and young people aged 5-18 years and who are registered with a Southampton City GP.

They are here to help children and young people who are struggling with their emotional and mental health including eating disorders and whose difficulties are having a significant impact on their ability to participate in daily activities or keep themselves safe.

Employment Support Team

The Employment Support Team is the council's employment support service. They offer help, advice and support to people who are disabled or disadvantaged, to find work or training. You can contact them directly for support and advice around preparation for getting into employment and finding employment.

Children's therapy service

All children are different and develop at different speeds. Some children find learning certain skills more difficult than others and they may need specialist assessment and advice from one of our therapists. Our children's therapy services include physiotherapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy.
