Special Education Needs and Disability
A child or young person has SEN if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for him or her.
This website aims to act as a 'one-stop shop' for information and services in Southampton that relates to Education, Health and Care support and services.
It is currently in development, and we are inviting feedback on both the accessibility of the site, and the information it contains.
The Local Areas SEND responsibilities, inclusive of responsibilities for education, health and care services are covered in Part 3 of the Children and Families Act and are detailed in the SEND Code of Practice.
