Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre

Situated in the south east corner of Southampton Common, The Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre provides information about Southampton's abundant wildlife and how we manage the city's open spaces to protect and increase biodiversity.

The Hawthorns grounds/wildlife garden is a sensitive wildlife environment showing the different habitats that can be found within the city of Southampton. The centre grounds are currently open on a Sunday from 10am-3pm.

The Activity Room is also currently not open at present, however we hope to reopen it soon also. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Aspects of the grounds/wildlife garden can still be viewed from the café terrace.

The Café at the Hawthorns is typically open every day from 9am until around 3.30pm.
