Southampton Citizens’ Climate Assembly

Southampton City Council, University of Southampton and public participation charity Involve created the Southampton Citizen’s Climate Assembly for climate change and transport.

Our Climate Assembly brought together 40 randomly selected residents in November and December who explored issues around climate change and transport in our city to reach shared recommendations about the future of our transport system.

On Thursday 7 March 2024, our assembly members shared their recommendations with the council as well as many other stakeholders, businesses and organisations from Southampton at a small launch event. You can now read the final report.
