Trees for Life 2023

Southampton's annual event of tree planting to honour births as well as commemorate lives

Trees for Life continues to make a positive impact on Southampton's environment and the community. This beloved annual event, which has seen thousands of trees planted since its humble beginnings is taking on a new dimension.

In addition to celebrating new births, Trees for Life will honour those who have passed away. The goal of this event has always been to create a legacy for future generations while embracing the principles of sustainability and regreening.

This year’s event will be the first with a special emphasis on celebrating the birth of new babies born in the city as well as commemorating the lives of lost loved ones. The inclusion of honouring those who have passed away adds a profound and meaningful dimension to this event. It will allow attendees to reflect on the interconnectedness of life, the importance of environmental conservation and the legacy we leave behind.
