This innovative project, funded by the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), will introduce a Play & Park destination designed to enhance the local environment and stimulate economic growth.

Following the 2022 consultation where 50% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the current green space, the aim is to develop an area that serves both residents and visitors.

The Urban Green Space project includes:

  • New functional surfaced routes to multiple areas of fun and relaxation
  • New exciting play areas suitable for all ages, accompanied by exercise and hangout spaces
  • Green spaces adorned with trees, shrubs, and seating, providing a tranquil haven for relaxation and park enjoyment

This innovative endeavour is set to redefine urban landscape design and contribute to the health and wellbeing of the community.

The project is scheduled to start week commencing 21 October and is expected to span a 12-week period.
