Southampton Renaissance Vision launched in landmark conference

On Friday 14 February, Southampton’s major organisations and institutions were joined by key representatives from the development, investment, and property sectors at a landmark event to launch the Southampton Renaissance Vision

The Vision is an ambitious long-term plan that places Southampton front and centre as one of the UK’s best investment opportunities. Southampton’s success as a growing and dynamic city is fundamental to the growth of the region and few cities have the wealth of assets, quality of life, and scale of development opportunity that can be found in the city.

Developed in partnership with the Southampton Renaissance Board and a consortium led by internationally renowned masterplanning, planning and economics consultancy Prior + Partners, the Vision sets the scene for a thriving future built around six key themes: Connected, Destination, Green, Innovation, Neighbourhoods and Waterfront.

The event, hosted at Mayflower’s MAST Studios, brought together national and regional leaders in development, investment and property with the Southampton businesses and organisations looking to drive regeneration, development and economic growth in the city and improve opportunities for people and businesses alike.

Through the Renaissance Vision, Southampton can be reborn with a focus on growth for all, improving opportunities and quality of life for people at every stage of their lives. With regeneration and investment comes new jobs and training courses, business opportunities for entrepreneurs, new homes, and entertainment and cultural venues allowing everyone in Southampton the chance to thrive.
