Official results of Bitterne ward by-election announced
The Bitterne ward by-election took place on Thursday 1 December 2022
Bitterne ward in Southampton went to the polls on Thursday 1 December 2022 to elect a new member of Southampton City Council. A by-election took place following the passing of Councillor Terry Streets.
Yvonne Carole Frampton, representing the Labour Party, was elected on the night.
The full results are as follows:
FORD, Callum Daniel John - Conservative Party candidate - 793
FRAMPTON, Yvonne Carole - Labour Party - 806 (Elected)
MCGEORGE, Nick - Liberal Democrat - 61
MELDRUM, Ronald Nicholas - Green Party - 66
WELLMAN, Mabel - Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition - 26
The new make-up of Southampton City Council is as follows:
- Labour - 27 Councillors
- Conservative - 20 Councillors
- Liberal Democrat - 1 Councillor
