The season ticket prices were announced following a public consultation in March 2025. For city centre residents off street anytime, on street evenings and weekends, and on street anytime, the prices remain the same and are not affected by the changes.

The standard season ticket for all other users will rise by £25 for the three-month and six-month options and by £50 for the 12-month options. At £1,150 for 12 months, the season ticket cost remains lower than the pre-pandemic rate of £1,200, and is competitive with season ticket pricing in high demand facilities within other local authority areas, such as Portsmouth and Bournemouth.

The updated prices are:

Season ticket type Three months Six months 12 months
City centre residents off street anytime - £340 £650
City centre residents on street evenings and weekends - - £300
City centre residents on street anytime - £475 £900
All users off street anytime £325 £600 £1150
All users off street overnight (6pm to 8am) - - £160

Additionally, the council will be removing the 90% discount on season tickets for electric vehicles. This is to ensure that season tickets remain appropriately priced to manage parking demand within the affected parking spaces, and manage parking demand as the use of electric vehicles become increasingly common.

Councillor Eamonn Keogh, Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport said:

"In updating our season ticket prices, we are balancing affordability for our residents with effective management of our city centre parking facilities. These amendments reflect our dedication to ensuring fair access to parking while also encouraging alternative modes of transport into the city centre from further afield.”
