The matrix Standard acknowledges the high-quality information, advice and guidance provided by the team to people looking for work and to local employers in Southampton.

The Employment Support Team first received matrix Standard accreditation in 2016 and have continued to improve and develop ever since.

The team provide impartial information, advice and guidance and one-to-one employment support to residents with the core belief that anyone who wants to work, can work, regardless of disability or disadvantage, providing the right support is given at the right time in the right place.

Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the Employment Support Team, and I would like to congratulate the team on their success.

“We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available.

“The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, the Employment Support Team is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”

Councillor Sarah Bogle, Cabinet Member for Economic Development, said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved matrix Standard accreditation once again. This recognition is a testament to our ongoing commitment to creating a more equal Southampton and providing accessible, high-quality support for all Southampton residents. It inspires us to continue raising the bar in helping every individual realise their potential, no matter the barriers they may face.”
