Concessionary library card
Are you eligible for a concessionary library card?
If you have a disability that means you receive state benefits (see list below) or you have a council Sensory Services Card or a letter from the Day Services Team or Learning Disabilities Team stating you have a learning disability then you are eligible for a concessionary library card.

How do I get a concessionary library card?
To get your card all you have to do is take your benefit awards letter to the library to show you qualify and we will do the rest. If you are already a member of the library we can convert your existing card to concessionary status. For under 18's only a form is required, completed and signed by a doctor, optician, or head teacher.

Benefits including free loan of the following:
- Music CD
- DVD
- Books on cassette, CD and MP3
- Information DVD
- CD-ROM
And reduced charges for:
- New release DVD - £1 instead of £2
- DVD Box sets - £2 rather than £4
- Book Finding Service - half price - standard £1.50, extra service £2.50
Fines on books
You will still be charged fines for overdue items with the exception of books on cassette, CD and MP3, information DVD and CD-ROM, where fines will not be charged.
