Property inspection report for immigration sponsorship
If you are making a UK entry clearance visa and settlement application, or you are sponsoring someone who is, the UK Border Agency requires supporting documents to prove that the intended accommodation is suitable.
The Home Office information guide on supporting documents can provide more information.
In most instances the 'sponsor' is the relative or friend residing in the UK.
The sponsor/visitor has to apply for Home Office entry clearance (ports or a British high commission/embassy abroad).
As part of that application they would seek confirmation from a reputable body (such as Southampton City Council) that the proposed accommodation is suitable (for instance safe, in good repair, and not too small).
Southampton City Council are able to provide you with a property inspection report to be submitted alongside the application. We will need to visit the property and will provide you with the report within 10 working days.
There is a fee to carry out the property inspection and provide the report.
Inspection | Price including VAT |
---|---|

Repeat application within 12 months | £163.00 |
