South Coast Training (SCT)

South Coast Training (SCT) bring tenants together for an informative and interactive day of training and networking. This is a one of a kind initiative in the country!

History and growth

In 2019, SCT celebrated its 20th anniversary! The SCT group started in 1999 when officers from six housing providers united to organise a conference. This conference would bring a range of tenants together for some quality training.

SCT is growing in popularity and the group is now up to full capacity with 10 organisations taking part. SCT continues to deliver relevant course to tenants across the South East.

About the events

The day-long events take place twice a year and cater for up to 80 tenants. Spaces are allocated to each housing organisation.

SCT gives residents the opportunity to mingle with people from other towns and organisations. This gives them the chance to compare issues and share ideas. The atmosphere is open, relaxed, and friendly.

These networking opportunity are invaluable to the organisers. Each of the organisations exchange best practice notes, advice, work initiatives, individual training sessions, and more.
