We understand that reliable repairs are important to you as a Southampton City Council tenant or leaseholder. To enhance our service, we are implementing a plan to improve how we handle repairs. Our goal is to make it easier to report repairs, keep you informed, and if there are any issues address them promptly and effectively.

Better communication
- Multiple pre-appointment reminders (text, phone, letter, or email)
- Immediate notifications of appointment changes
- Text message updates (if you have a mobile phone)
- Consideration of your appointment preferences
Improved repairs
- Collaboration with staff and suppliers to ensure first-time fixes when possible
- Discussing changes with tenant engagement groups. This includes the building safety group and tenant repairs panel
Continuous improvement
- Using tenant feedback through online surveys
- Ongoing efforts to refine our repairs service
