The University of Portsmouth,  STR Group, and Solent Partners are looking for individuals from across the Solent region seeking to upskill in AI Leadership to launch or further their careers in this exciting growth area. 

Deploy machine learning techniques, learn about the capabilities of AI frameworks and the growth of technological innovations in the field, and their application to real-world problems in engineering, healthcare, agriculture and beyond.

The Programme runs from 18 November 2024 – 28 March 2025 (includes Christmas and New Year Break).

• You must be 19 years of age or older

• Live in the UK and have evidence of the right to work in the UK

• Committed to engagement in 100 hours of training

Whitehead Ross' Skills Bootcamps in Hospitality Leadership are free, flexible courses, held over 2 days a week for 6 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and an offer of an interview with an employer on completion. This opportunity is available in Fareham, Gosport, Isle of Wight and Southampton.

There will be the chance to complete the City & Guilds, Level 3 Award in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Principles.

This award can help you get a supervisory or management job in hospitality. You’ll develop your knowledge and gain valuable skills in leadership and management and is suitable for anyone looking for a career within the hospitality sector. 

Get Ready for Careers in Civil Aviation

The King's Trust are now recruiting for an incredibly unique programme they are running with the Civil Aviation Authority. The programme will cover what it is like to work in the aviation industry and support participants with practical skills using industry equipment. The programme will also include a tour of Southampton City Airport and a visit to Ocean Infinity for a drone workshop. 

Eligibility: Age 16-30 and not in employment, education or training

Taster day: 27 November 2024

Course Dates: 2 - 6 December 2024

Location: Wide Lane Sports Centre, Eastleigh, SO50 5PE (plus external visits)

Step into leadership with our 10-day intensive Screen Skills Bootcamp, designed specifically for burgeoning project managers in the HETV/film, VFX, and games sectors. No prior knowledge in creative industries is required!

Learn to polish your project management skills, enhance your leadership capabilities, and connect with industry leaders through our mentorship and work shadowing opportunities. Each day runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, encompassing 60 hours of learning and hands-on training.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be 19 years of age or older.
• Resident in the UK with proof of the right to work.
• Commitment to complete 60 hours of training.
• Open to participating in ongoing job seeking support.
• Interested in advancing or starting a career in HETV/film, VFX, or games.
