14 February 2025: King's Trust: Get Started with Emergency Response SHOW

Everyone starts somewhere. Learn from industry experts, get invaluable experience and a taste of what it is like to work in the Emergency Services.

On this course you will:

Get an insight into roles within the emergency services sector.
Meet professionals from Fire & Rescue, Police
and Ambulance services.
Complete first aid training.
Take part in emergency service drills and a uniformed parade.

Taster Date: 20 February 2025

Course Dates: 24 February - 28 February 2025

Location: St Mary’s Fire Station, Southampton

Eligibility criteria: Aged 16-30, not in employment, education or training.

17 February 2025: King's Trust: Get Into Retail with Marks and Spencer SHOW

Programme Overview:
Marks & Start Get into Retail course with Marks & Spencer. You’ll gain a wide range of experience within M&S stores. And you’ll receive support from M&S staff that could help you secure a job in retail.

Learn strategies to help you ace job interviews.
Benefit from support from one of our mentors to help you uncover your next steps.
Grow your skills and meet new people.

Age: 16-30
Location: Portsmouth & Southampton
Taster Day: 17 February in Southampton and 20 February in Portsmouth

24 February 2025: Gateway to Care Skills Bootcamp SHOW

Are you out of work or looking for a career change? Acquire essential knowledge and skills tailored for a career in Care Services with Fareport Training's upcoming Skills Bootcamp

Duration: 3 weeks

Start Date: Monday 24th February 2025

Timings: Will run 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) , 9.30am until 2pm, over 3 weeks

Free time: The course is broken up with regular breaks and time for lunch

Study Modes: Face to face group training (not online) with our adult social care experts

Class Sizes: Unlike some other providers, we keep our class sizes small and typically have only 12 participants. This means you can get to know other attendees, learn from each other and have sufficient time for questions and answers

Qualifications Achieved: The Level 3 Introduction to Personalisation

Job Interview: A guaranteed job interview with a local Care employer at the end of the course

Entry Requirements: Be aged 19 years or older on the 31/08/2024, live in the Solent area of Hampshire, be unemployed & actively looking for work or planning to change career to work in Care, have the right to work in the UK, have maintained UK residency for the last 3 years & have not started a Skills Bootcamp in the last 12 months

Cost: Fully funded (worth £3,500) if you meet the entry requirements above. Funding is subject to full eligibility checks.

24 February 2025: Screen Industries Skills Bootcamp SHOW

Step into leadership with City Eye's 10-day intensive Screen Skills Bootcamp, designed specifically for burgeoning project managers in the HETV/film, VFX, and games sectors. No prior knowledge in creative industries is required!

Learn to polish your project management skills, enhance your leadership capabilities, and connect with industry leaders through mentorship and work shadowing opportunities. Each day runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm, encompassing 60 hours of learning and hands-on training.
