Garden waste collection

To have garden waste collected from your property as a Southampton resident you can subscribe to the annual household garden waste collection service.

For a yearly subscription fee, you will receive a 240 litre wheeled bin (or sacks for qualifying properties) for your garden waste that will be collected every fortnight, with a two week break over Christmas and New Year.

The service runs from 1 April until 31 March the following year, regardless of when you signed up.

The last day to subscribe to the 2025-26 service will be Monday 30 June 2025.
