Environmental information requests

We hold information about the contaminated land that we own and maintain. The Environmental Information Regulations 2004 allows local authorities the opportunity to charge a reasonable amount for providing information and to request advance payment.

Anyone can ask to see the information we hold about the contaminated land that we own and maintain.

Make an Environmental Information Request (EIR)

We may not be able to show you all the information because there are some restrictions from the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, the Freedom of Information Act 2000, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Local Government Act 1972, Part V (a).

Responses will be returned within 20 working days of receipt of full payment and/or any further particulars required, subject to any extension time the council may be entitled to under the regulations.

Charges

The total charge will be dependant upon the quantity of information that requires collating and a quote will be required to ascertain this. We charge £64.35 per hour. There is no VAT on this service. Using the form above, customers can either make an online payment for the relevant amount or request payment via invoice.

We reserve the right to refund payment, full or in part, if any information is withheld in accordance with the regulations.
