School election pack
The School Elections Pack has been designed by Electoral Services as part of our commitment to encourage participation in the democratic process. It is hoped by following a similar process used to run all local and national elections, schools may be able to conduct an election of school council representatives, house captains, etc.
The information can be used as a starting point to ‘getting involved in the election process’ from becoming a candidate to being elected. The pack helps to stimulate discussion, participation and understanding of how the voting process works.
We hope your school will have an enjoyable and exciting election for both staff and pupils.
