Consultation on a draft Adult Social Care Direct Payments policy
We are currently consulting on a draft Direct Payment (DP) policy and want to hear your views.
A Direct Payment is money paid by the Council to a person with assessed eligible needs, or their carer. It can be used to purchase care and support services to meet some or all of a person’s eligible support needs.
Direct Payments give people more choice, control and flexibility over their care, and this new draft policy aims to make the process clearer, fairer, and easier to use.
We would like to hear your thoughts on these proposals and any impacts or alternative suggestions you would like us to consider. Now is your opportunity to have your say.
