Gender pay gap
Gender pay gap data 2024
The gender pay gap is a snapshot of pay that shows the difference in average hourly earnings of men and women. It is a measure across all jobs in the UK, not of the difference in pay between men and women for doing the same job. In the UK, the gender pay gap has been declining slowly over time; over the last decade it has fallen by approximately a quarter among full-time employees, and in April 2024, it stood at 7.0%, down from 7.5% in 2023.
