Review of Freedom of Information request

If you are not satisfied with the council’s response to your Freedom of Information (FOI) request, your Environmental Information (EI) request or your Subject Access request (SAR), you can ask for a review of your request to be carried out.

You should ask for the review within two months of receiving your response. You can expect a full response within:

  • 20 working days - FOI requests
  • 20 working days - EI requests
  • 1 calendar month - SAR

Sometimes complaints are complicated and need more time to be fully investigated. A full response may therefore take longer. If this is the case, we will keep you informed of progress and let you know when you can expect an answer.
