Safeguarding for Governors
All governors have a statutory responsibility with regard to safeguarding. This course will support governors to understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
Learning outcomes
These free sessions will give the opportunity to provide both local and national updates to School governors from schools across the city and for networking. It will give practical support in monitoring safeguarding within their school, build awareness of current safeguarding issues, and local processes.
Who should attend
All governors supporting schools in Southampton – whether you are new to governance or would just like a refresher. It is suitable for any governor, as well as governors with lead responsibility.
