Designated Safeguarding Lead Update (Level 3)

This training is delivered by Southampton City Council Children and Families Services and is approved by the Southampton Safeguarding Children Partnership.

The course offers existing DSLs the opportunity to receive additional updates in the interim period between attending statutory training. It can be used alongside DSL network meetings to ensure that delegates meet the requirement to be updated at least annually around local updates relevant to their role as DSL and outlined in Early Years Foundation Stage for early years and childcare providers and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE)

  • Topical areas of Safeguarding

Who should attend?

People who hold the Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibility in their setting (This includes Early Years and Childcare settings).

  • Wednesday 11 December 2024 - 9pm to 4pm - Civic Centre
  • Tuesday 4 February 2025 - 9pm to 4pm - Civic Centre
  • Thursday 20 March 2025 - 9pm to 4pm - Civic Centre
