Can I recycle bleach bottles?

Plastic bottles can be recycled in the blue-lidded recycling bin. As long as they are bottle shaped and come from your kitchen or bathroom they should be fine. Please try to remove all lids and place these in your general waste bin. We cannot recycle bottles from the garden shed that may have traces of poisons or hazardous liquid. Plastic cups, such as vending cups, cannot be recycled in the blue-lidded recycling bin. Please place in your green-lidded general waste bin.

Can I recycle batteries?

Batteries should never go in any household bin. You can take your unwanted household batteries to the supermarkets and DIY stores where batteries are sold. They should have a battery recycling container, normally located at the entrance or exit to the store. Batteries can also be taken to the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
