Recent changes to Housing and Council Tax Benefit legislation
There have been a number of changes to the Welfare Benefit system. Many of these changes affect Housing and Council Tax Reduction directly, you can read more about them by visiting the links within this section.

If you are of pensionable age
If you are of pensionable age, the changes relating to Universal Credit, Benefit Cap, Under Occupation, and the Council Tax Reduction Scheme do not apply to you.
If you are working age and a council tenant
If you fall into one of the following groups:
- You are of working age
- You are a council tenant
- You have questions about the changes to benefit happening this year
