Proof for other people who live with you

People who live with you may affect the amount of benefit you get, we may need to see proof relating to them:

  • Partner - We will need to see ID and Nino proof and proof of all of their income and savings
  • Children - We may ask to see your Child Benefit award letter
  • Boarders and sub-tenants - We will need to see proof of the rent you charge them
  • Non-dependants - We may need to see proof of their income. Proof is not required for working age Council Tax Reduction claims
  • Students - Proof of student status
