The strength-based approach to care
Adult Social Care is changing away from the traditional model of care provision, and is focusing on a strength-based approach. A strengths-based approach to care, support and inclusion invites people to look first at what they can do with their skills and their resources and what help they have around them from family, friends and in their community. We think people should be seen as experts in charge of their own lives rather than recipients of care.
