National Safeguarding Adults Week (NSAW)

Theme: Prevention – Act Before Abuse

The Local Safeguarding Adults Boards in Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, and Southampton are proud to support National Safeguarding Adults Week 2025. This year’s theme, 'Prevention – Act Before Abuse', encourages us to shift the focus from reactive safeguarding to proactive intervention.

Throughout the week, we will be working with our partner organisations and local communities to raise awareness of key safeguarding issues and promote safer cultures.

For Southampton, each day we will spotlight a specific theme aligned with the national programme.
