About our Educational Psychology service

We value highly the range of work we can offer and your feedback to shape this. We were pleased to receive at least a four or five out of five on satisfaction ratings from our Southampton Schools in the 2023-24 End of Year Evaluations (EOY) in the following areas:

  • Educational Psychology (EP) statutory advice
  • EP casework
  • EP staff surgery
  • Bookable phone consultations
  • Collaborative Behaviour-focused Consultations (CBCs)
  • Link EP role to settings (schools and colleges)
  • Emotionally Based School Absence (EBSA) consultations
  • Training
  • Therapeutic interventions
  • Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) support
  • Trauma and Attachment Aware Educational Settings (TAAES) project

We also received some lovely written feedback and have included examples of this within relevant sections of the website and the feedback section.

Introducing the team

We are a collaborative and conscientious EP team, who bring an extensive range of knowledge, experience and specialisms to share with our Southampton city colleagues and settings (from early years to post-16).  We uphold core values of keeping up to date with research, professional development and learning from each other.

We are proud of our close links with the University of Southampton and have a number of EPs in the team who are seconded as academic and professional tutors on the doctoral programme in educational psychology.
